With this guide you will learn how to install a bamboo fence with wire. Read on to learn more!

Step 1

Unroll the bamboo against itwire fence. Place the bamboo roll against the wire fence where you want the bamboo to start. Untangle the bamboo in the direction you want to protect. The entire roll needs to be placed against the chain-link fence to assemble, so enlist a friend's help if the roll is too big and unwieldy.

It's exceptionally difficult to mount bamboo on both sides of the wire fence, so it's best not to do anything in the front yard unless you only want to cover the outer fence.

step 2

Run some galvanized wire around the end of the bamboo and the chain link. Obtain a coil of galvanized wire that is at least three feet longer than the bamboo coil. Start with either end of the bamboo. Slip the wire around the first bamboo stalk and drag it to the opposite side of the wire fence.

Run the galvanized wire through the bamboo and fence. Wrap the wire around the fence and thread it through the second bamboo stalk. Continue this method until you have wrapped the wire around each rod and each section of chain-link fence.

Tip: If you don't live in a particularly windy location, feel free to skip a few stalks each time you wrap the wire around the bamboo. For example, you can wrap the wire around any third, fourth, or fifth rod.

Step 3

Wrap the cable around the chain link at both ends and bend it. Pull the wire closed at both ends to pull the bamboo against the fence. Then wrap the excess yarn around the chain link next to each end. Wrap it 3-4 times around the chain and use a crimp tool or channel lock to tuck the wire tightly at the end to secure it. Don't use all your weight to keep the wire close until you crimp it. You can break bamboo if you pull too hard.

Stage 4

Use zip ties to provide additional support for the top of the fence. Starting at the end of the bamboo at the top, wrap the zipper around the first rod and the chain link behind it. Thread the plastic end through the small notch on the other side of the zipper and pull it closed. Place additional zip ties every 6 to 12 inches (15 to 30 cm) along the top of the roll.

Step 5

Secure your projection by wrapping clamps around the bottom of the screen. Jump to the bottom of the fence with the top of the fence protected. Starting 12 inches above the ground at the end of the fence, wrap another zip tie around the bamboo and wire fence. Continue assembling the cable ties, inserting them every 15 to 30 cm (6 to 12 inches) until the bamboo fence is fully secured.
